Nanawagan si Tingog party-list Rep. Jude Acidre kay Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco na tigilan ang umano’y panlilinlang sa publiko kaugnay ng mga alegasyon sa impeachment laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
Iginiit ni Acidre na walang ebidensiya ang paratang na inalok ng ayuda at proyekto ang mga mambabatas kapalit ng suporta sa impeachment.
Aniya, ang seryosong akusasyon ay dapat may malinaw na patunay at hindi haka-haka o tsismis.
“Rep. Toby Tiangco should stop misleading the public. Serious allegations require proof not hearsay, not secondhand claims, and certainly not tsismis dressed up as fact,” pahayag ni Acidre.
Pinabulaanan din ni Acidre ang pahayag na may natukoy nang paglabag laban kay dating Speaker Martin Romualdez, batay sa Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).
Ayon kay Acidre, malinaw sa dokumento ng komisyon na wala itong natukoy na pagkakasala o pananagutan at isa lamang itong referral para sa karagdagang imbestigasyon.
“ The ICI referral itself, signed by retired Supreme Court Justice Andres Reyes, explicitly states: “This referral is issued without any finding or conclusion of guilt or liability on the part of Former Speaker Martin Romualdez,” pahayag ni Acidre.
Dagdag pa ni Acidre, ”What exists is a referral for further investigation – nothing more,nothing less.”
Hinamon ni Acidre si Tiangco na maglabas ng ebidensiya at pangalanan ang mga sangkot kung may basehan ang kanyang mga pahayag.
Binigyang-diin din ni Acidre na walang panunuhol o pamimilit na naganap sa mga mambabatas na lumagda sa impeachment complaint.
Aniya personal niyang natunghayan ang pagtalakay sa paglagda sa impeachment complaint at sa panahong yon wala si Rep. Tiangco.
“ Let me be absolutely clear. I was present during the discussions and the signing of the first impeachment complaint Rep. Tiangco was not. He was nowhere to be found during thos critical moments. He did not witness the deliberations. He did not hear the testimonies. He did not review the evidence as it unfolded,” pahayag ni Acidre.
Dagdag pa niya, ang pagpapakalat ng walang basehang impormasyon ay nakasisira sa integridad ng Kamara at nagpapahina ng tiwala ng publiko.
“The Filipino people deserved facts not fiction. They deserve truth not insinuation. And they deserve public officials who stand on evidence, not on recycled narratives,” wika ni Rep. Acidre.
