Si Bongalon nihangyo sa House Committees on Basic Education and Culture and on Good Government and Public Accountability nga imbestigahon ang mga pribadong tunghaan nga naglista sa mga non-existent beneficiaries sukad niadtong 2016 ubos sa Duterte administration ug nagpadayon ubos sa liderato ni Bise Presidente Sara Duterte sa DepEd.
Matod sa taho, si DepEd Sec. Sonny Angara nag-imbestigar sa 12 ka pribadong tunghaan sa siyam ka dibisyon nga giingong nalambigit sa ghosting scam. Nagtuo ang magbabalaod nga angayan sab nga imbestigahon sa Kamara kung adunay mga opisyal ug empleyado sa DepEd nga nakigkunsabo sa mga tunghaan nga giimbestigahan.
Ubos sa SHS voucher program, ang gobyerno mohatag og financial assistance sa mga kwalipikadong estudyante nga nagtungha sa pribadong senior high school.
