Pormal na nga nagpungko si Sen. Juan Edgardo ‘Sonny’ Angara isip Secretary sa Department of Education (DepEd).
Sa gipahigayong turnover ceremony kagahapon sa DepEd Complex sa Pasig City, gipasa ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang DepEd Seal ug Flag kang Angara nga nagmarka sa transition sa pagdumala sa ahensya.
Sa iyang inaugural speech, nagpasalamat usab si Angara ug gipasalig nga mas paayuhon pa niini ang sistema sa edukasyon sa nasud.
“It is a great honor that President Marcos has bestowed upon me to serve as Secretary of the Department of Education. I humbly accept this position, in response to the trust and challenge given by our President to further enhance programs that promote high-quality education for our students.”
Giila usab ni Angara ang iyang predecessor og mga outgoing DepEd officials sa ilang dedikasyon og serbisyo.
“I would like to recognize Vice President Sara Z. Duterte and the outgoing officials. For the past two years, you were there for our students and teachers to lean on during challenging times. We will build from what you have already started,” he said in addressing his predecessor.”
