Nanguna si Pope Leo XIV sa Liturgy of the Passion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ sa St. Peter’s Basilica sa Vatican sa hapon sa Byernes Santo.

Sa pagsugod sa liturhiya nga nagahinumdom sa pag-antos sa Ginuo, naghapa ang Santo Papa sa atubang sa altar.

Nagluhod usab ang uban nga mga pari og ang mga tumuluo.

Sunod nga nangamuyo ang Santo Papa: “Remember your mercies, O Lord, and with your eternal protection sanctify your servants, for whom Christ, your Son, by the shedding of his Blood, established the Paschal Mystery, Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.”
